Let America Be America Again

Saturday, October 13, Repeat performance on Saturday, October 19, 2019

Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association

Charles narrates this powerful and very relevant poem by Langston Hughes with orchestral accompaniment by the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. Hughes’ poem was set to music by Dr. Gwyneth Walker, a pioneering female composer and proud resident of Vermont.

Expect to be swept away by the power and glory of Hughes’ words and the majesty of Walker’s music.

Performance time and location is to be determined. More information will be posted on the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association's site, www.wmpamusic.org.

The performances will be under the direction of WMPA's Music Directot and conductor Ulysses S. James.
